The Incredible Years Training Series

Kids don’t come with instructions.  Sometimes parents need the help of  an intensive, structured program.

The Incredible Years® training programs give parents and teachers strategies to build positive relationships, attachments, and to manage behaviors such as aggressiveness, ongoing tantrums, and acting out behavior such as swearing, whining, yelling, hitting and kicking, answering back, and refusing to follow rules.

The next Incredible Years class will begin April 21, 2016.  Registration is now closed.  Please contact Dana Stanton at 623-2430 to inquire about registration.

Program Goals:

  • Improved parent-child interactions, building positive relationships and attachment, improved parental functioning, less harsh and more nurturing parenting, and increased parental social support and problem solving
  • Prevention, reduction and treatment of early onset conduct behaviors and emotional problems
  • Promotion of child social competence, emotional regulation, positive attributions, academic readiness and problem solving
  • Prevention of conduct disorders, academic underachievement, delinquency, violence and drug abuse

Program Targets:

  • High risk socioeconomically disadvantaged families
